We Care Partners Joins with Bounty Alert in Launching a National Initiative to Help Custodial Parents Receive the Child Support their Children are Owed...
To Significantly Reduce the More than $100 Billion Owed in Child Support Arrears in the United States.
Montvale, N.J. - (Press Release) May 26, 2011 – In a nation where more than 100 billion dollars in child support arrears are owed, it is estimated that one (1) out of every fifty (50) children spend at least one night homeless each year and 10 times as many nights hungry. It is evident that custodial parents and child support enforcement officials are overwhelmed in their efforts to collect delinquent payments, which could support a stronger quality of life for many more American children.
According to the National Office of Child Support Enforcement, less than 35 percent of all parents eligible to receive child support never bother to file. Surveys reveal that most do not want to go through the red tape or be forced to chase down their children's noncustodial parent to obtain support. To prevent paying child support, many noncustodial parents dodge taking care of their children by quitting their jobs, relocating to other states, working off the books or starting their own businesses and not reporting income to the IRS. Noncustodial parents with child support warrants are most often arrested in traffic violations stops, or less frequently when enforcement officials stage non-support arrest sweeps. In addition, noncustodial parents arrested with child support warrants in other states are rarely extradited because most states will not spend the money to transport inmates with non-felony arrests. “To aid custodial parents in their ability to receive child support, We Care Partners, Bounty Alert, and more than 25 fugitive recovery agencies have teamed up to provide the most comprehensive national child support aid and enforcement programs ever imagined. The program was announced by Herbert Glenn, President and Founder of ‘We Care Partners’ a non-profit established in 2010 to provide services and programs to effectively deal with the concerns that create disparity throughout America.
While helping to prevent noncustodial parents from circumventing the gaps in the Child Support Enforcement system, We Care Partners and Bounty Alert will provide custodial parents with services needed to enforce noncustodial parents to pay the child support their children deserve. The initiative provides custodial parents with free step-by-step instructions to file for child support. Custodial parents can also acquire all of the legal documents needed and receive step-by-step instructions to have arrest warrants issued against noncustodial parents with excessive arrears. Bounty Alert also will dispatch a team of fugitive recovery agents, located throughout the United States to apprehend noncustodial parents with child support warrants. Custodial parents can also receive certifications, affidavits, motions and other legal documents to file lawsuits against the noncustodial parent of their children, to receive judgments for any arrears, rewards, lost wages and out of pocket expenses.
Anticipating the overwhelming national responses, Bounty Alert has established a 24-hour, by 7 day a per week call center, which is based in the United States to provide all needed documents and help each parent on a case-by-case basis. A free child support informational kit with an overview of the programs and services are offered on the We Care Partners and Bounty Alert websites (See: wecarepartners.com and bountyalert.com). Bounty Alert will also contract a collection agency to recover any arrears and fees awarded to custodial parents. "If a noncustodial parent with a warrant is not captured initially by our team of fugitive recovery agents, we will launch alerts to expose the parents to the general public through our Bounty Alert Network" to receive additional leads, says Rasheen Peppers, who is one of the consultants to Bounty Alert. Rasheen Peppers was formerly a member of the US Marshals Fugitive Recovery Taskforce, and a star on the TV Series "Manhunters", on A&E. In addition, a team of attorneys is in place to provide parents with all legal advice and supporting documents. Attorney Carmen Mendiola, of New Jersey has spent 18 years as a family court lawyer fighting for custodial parents in New Jersey, knows all too well the benefits of the program. "This program is long overdue and a victory for custodial parents owed child support", says Ms. Mendiola.
About We Care Partners
We Care Partners is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that was formed to provide services and programs to effectively deal with the concerns that create disparity throughout America. We Care Partners' mission is to make America aware of the many programs available through its partnership and help to facilitate access to these valuable associations. We Care Partners' goal is to reach the potential needs of Americans through its affiliated resources and partners.
After evaluating the needs of America's families, We Care Partners has learned the financial neglect of America's children by noncustodial parents that fail to pay child support is the single greatest factor for poverty, disparity and the reduction of the quality of life for Americans. We Care Partners' Child Support Enforcement Initiative was created with Bounty Alert to enable custodial parents that are eligible for child support to receive the resources necessary to file and collect the child support their children desperately need. In addition to making it easier for custodial parents to receive child support, noncustodial parents will be forced to take the responsibility of supporting their children.
About Bounty Alert
Bounty Alert has pioneered the nation's first comprehensive recovery network that disseminates fugitive profiles to the public through mobile phone and internet alerts. Bounty Alert has contracted agreements with newspapers to post noncustodial parent's profiles that have arrest warrants in national newspapers. Bounty Alert will be launching its Fugitive News Show that will profile "Deadbeat Parents" with child support warrants and offer rewards for tips to aid their arrests. "Non Custodial parents with child support warrants can no longer hide because of social media", says Detective Rasheen Peppers. Bounty Alert will send a Non Custodial parents profile across the internet through Twitter, Facebook, RSS Feeds, Google Buzz, e-mail alerts and MMS (Picture Message) Alerts. Rewards will be available for anyone who provides information to aid in the apprehension of noncustodial parents listed in the Bounty Alert Network. The general public can submit anonymous tips through Bounty Alert's 24-Hour Call Center, and receive rewards through more than 44,000 Western Union locations throughout the United States if their leads assist in the capture of anyone listed in the network.
"Custodial parents, whose children are owed child support at every level can subscribe to one of many programs we offer", said Glenn. "If they have never applied for child support, need to have an arrest warrant issued for arrears against the Non Custodial parents of their children, or need their Non Custodial parent apprehended with an arrest warrant to get the support for their children, we have a program for them. Apprehending noncustodial parents with arrest warrants that have the financial means to pay child support, is the best tool to enable government agencies to enforce support. "Our Child Support Aid Programs will save the government billions of dollars in welfare, and apprehension costs", says Glenn.
